Kavanagh side stepped his man and found acres of space as he drove towards goal and blasted the ball beyond Craig Kearneys grasp in the Palatine goal to give ire g the lead. Group stage[edit]

Reid sauntered his way towards goal and elected to fist it over the bar. Team changes[edit]

The band was formed in 1978 literally by accident. George and Paul were playing in Denmark with their own band called the Buskers and Eddie and Finbar, while touring in Germany were involved in a road accident. When George and Paul got news of the accident they immediately travelled to Germany to be with their brothers.

ire g hopes to continue their winning ways when they meet Culloville at home on May 21st. ire g Ladies stole their second win of the season with a 3-12 to 2-6 win over Tullysaron. With a squad of 13 ire g dominated the first half with accurate shooting from Amy Mc Allister and Kathy Crangle. As ire gs confidence grew minor players Kirsty Trainor and Ciara DeCarteret held their own and pushed over some crucial scores. The second half saw Tullysaron come out more aggressive forcing the ire g defence to dig deep. Tullysaron struggled to get the ball past the midfield with determined tackling from Catriona Haddock and Laura Gillespie. In the final minutes ire gs perseverance and fitness denied their opponents of a final score.

In 1971 he moved to mainland Europe where he toured for seven years with Finbar, building up a huge following particularly in Germany. In 1969, Eddie with his brother Finbar was the special guest for the Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem throughout the USA and Canada.
