Our Prediction:

India will win

India – Bangladesh Match Prediction | 16-10-2019 10:00

Prior to that, they had suffered a 0-3 clean sweep at the hands of New Zealand before winning their next four matches on the bounce. Bangladesh's first warm-up match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 against Pakistan had to be called off without a ball bowled due to inclement weather. All four of those wins came in the recent tri-series in Ireland that also featured the West Indies.

Bangladesh have no injury concerns going into this match. Tamim Iqbal will be opening the batting and is likely to be partnered with Liton Das. Mustafizur Rahman and Mohammad Saifuddin are likely to lead Bangladesh's pace attack that also has Abu Jayed and Rubel Hossain. Shakib Al Hasan will probably bat up the order while the team's middle-order batting will comprise Mushfiqur Rahim, Mahmudullah, Soumya Sarkar and Mohammad Mithun. Mehidy Hasan, Shakib Al Hasan, Mahmudullah and Mosaddek Hossain make up the team's spin contingent.

The all-rounder was struck on the forearm off a Khaleel Ahmed delivery during a practice session on Friday. Though the injury has been reported to be minor, the team management may not play him as a precautionary measure. Vijay Shankar missed the previous warm-up match against New Zealand and is unlikely to feature in this match as well. Kedar Jadav, who has recovered from the shoulder injury he had sustained during the IPL, is expected to take the field on Tuesday.

They have a pretty good spin attack too. They would try to attack batting order of India with their fast bowling and try to rattle their batting order. Bangladesh has shown some great performances in their recent encounters and they look in a good shape. The team combination has worked for them in the right time and they look competitive. The players like Shakib ul Hasanand Mustafizur Rahman stood up for the task in their recent matches and won for Bangladesh. Their combination is looking good as they are playing good cricket. Their combination is good and the top order is among runs too. They have a very decent pace attack in the world. They have a dependable spin attack to contain the runs in the middle overs. Bangladesh were able to impress many opponents. Their hopes for the semi-finals are pretty much on.

They put up a very disappointing show with the bat last time out. They have now faced defeats in their last four matches which includes the six-wicket loss to New Zealand in Saturday's warm-up match. India have won 8 and lost 5 out of the 13 one-day internationals they have played so far this year. They suffered a top-order collapse and were not able to recover after being reduced to 39-4.

Kedar Jadav, who has recovered from the shoulder injury he had sustained during the IPL, is expected to take the field on Tuesday. Though the injury has been reported to be minor, the team management may not play him as a precautionary measure. Vijay Shankar missed the previous warm-up match against New Zealand and is unlikely to feature in this match as well. He is closely followed by Rohit Sharma who has an odds value of 9.00. Virat Kohli is Indias top player with betting odds value of 7.00 for the man of the match award for his batting performance.

The pitch at Cardiff will be better for batting and the team will look to their top three - Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli - to fire this time around. Mohammed Shami is another major threat in this pace attack while it will be a good opportunity for Kuldeep Yadav to find his rhythm back. Except Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja who scored 30 and 54 respectively, the entire Indian batting line-up failed to click against the quality pace bowling of New Zealand. Kohli and Rohit are the top two ODI batsmen in the world and both will look to score big after their failures in the last game. For Jasprit Bumrah, it was business as usual, as he finished as the pick of the bowlers against New Zealand with figures of 4-2-2-1. The pacer is currently the world's best ODI bowler and he is likely to be the standout for India again.

KL Rahul suffered a back niggle against England but he should be alright for this game. Rishabh Pant replaced Vijay Shankar last time out, amid much popular support, and he could continue. Five more wickets for Mohammed Shami against England means he should continue to lead the pace attack alongside Jasprit Bumrah. We expect India to field the same eleven from last time. Shankar, meanwhile, has been ruled out of the remainder of the World Cup with a toe injury and he has been replaced in the squad by Mayank Agarwal. The spinners came in for some punishment in that game, but India have tended to prefer having both Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav in their XI.

Bangladesh vs India Prediction

Mahmudullah seems to have recovered from his calf injury and is expected to feature in the starting eleven. So after a weeks break since their last fixture, Bangladesh could be unchanged from the win against Afghanistan. Bangladesh have had a largely settled line-up at this Cricket World Cup, with Liton Das now slotting in at the top of the order.

All-rounders: No Dream11 team can be complete without the inclusion of Shakib Al Hasa. He is bowling his ten overs in every match and is often sent up the order to get runs when needed. He is as good as having two players and is currently both the highest run-scorer and wicket-taker for Bangladesh in the ICC World Cup 2019. Hardik Pandya is also emerging as a genuine all-rounder for India.

The fast bowler could hurt India early on if he gets the ball to swing. The all-rounder is their most consistent performer with both bat and ball and will be crucial to the team's chances. Mashrafe Mortaza and Mehidy Hasan are two other bowlers in this line-up whom the Indian batsmen will be wary of. Bangladesh will rely on their stalwarts in Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah to score runs for them. Tamim has scored the most runs for the team in the 50-over format and the onus will be on him to provide a strong start to the innings. Soumya Sarkar was the team's best batsman in Ireland and he too will be expected to make a sizeable contribution. Mustafizur Rahman will pose the biggest challenge to the Indian batsmen. Shakib is an integral part of this Bangladeshi side.

Wicketkeeper: We have picked Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Das from the available players. Liton Das, on the other hand, is fighting for his place in the playing eleven while Mushfiur Rahim just likes scoring runs against India, whatever be the format. India gave MS Dhoni rest in the previous match and even though we expect him to play this one, his experience is going to allow him to take this warm-up match easily.

It is seen in their last match that a good spin bowling caused them problems but overall they are a very compact and balanced side. India on the other hand has lost only one match so far and they are one victory away from qualifying for the semi-finals. They have dangerous bowling attack in the world. It is the best side they have come up with in any world cup tournament. India now is one game away from the semi-finals race and a win here would secure their position. They are really strong team and look very confident. It is going to be a very interesting contest between two cricketing nations and fans are really interested in the outcome. They have shown the best of their performance so far in this world cup 2019.
