It was a tense, physical affair early on with both teams trading blows and scores. A couple of late scores sealed the win for Kildangan on a score line 3-12 to 1-16. U16 v KildanganLast Thursday the girls played Kiladangan in what turned out to be a cracking game. It seemed they would see it out but composed as ever our girls responded with great resilience. Kiladangan regrouped and pulled away to a 5 point lead mid way through the second half. The determination showed by each individual contributed to the team effort that secured the win. Kilruane rallied back to lead by two points at the half time whistle. Before the final whistle Kilruane managed to scrape themselves a two point victory. Final score 3-9 to 3-7. Kilruane were first to register a score while Kildangan hit a purple patch and went ahead with a number of goals. We now await results from remaining matches which will determine our progression.

We also send best wishes to Niall OMeara, Jerome Cahill and Cian Darcy as they battle for All Ireland senior medal glory against Kilkenny on Sunday. We especially wish club girl Laura Shinners all the best on Saturday as she lines out for Tipperary intermediates in the All Ireland camogie semi final against Galway @ 2pm in Cratloe.
