Willem II (@1.66) vs VVV Venlo (@4.6)

Our Prediction:

Willem II will win

Willem II – VVV Venlo Match Prediction | 22-09-2019 13:45

Willem II at home should be solid team, so I expect their win vs Venlo. Willem II lost last 2 matches. They have 3-0-3 and 9:12. In last match they won 2:1 vs Groningen. Willem II - Venlo, Netherlands, Eredivisie (1st tier)Willem II is 8th on the table with 9 points from 6 played matches. They have 3-0-3 record and 9:11 goals difference. At home they have 1-0-2 and 2:4. Away from home they have 1-0-2 and 3:6. In last match they lost 4:1 vs Heracles. Venlo won 2 of last 3 matches. Venlo is 9th on the table with also 9 points.

If recent ties are any indication at all, expect both teams to share the goal-scoring burden. Its very highly likely that we are in for a goal-ridden game. Two of their last three matches at this venue had five or more goals, and by all means, wait for at least three goals in the game, and at least one before half time.

Left back James McGarry arrives from the A-League, Spanish midfielder Pol Llonch made the switch from Poland, and most notably Dimitrios Kolovos and Aras zbiliz have arrived on loan. The only money spent so far by Willem II went on young Leverkusen midfielder Atakan Akkaynak, who cost the club a mere 90k. Giliano Wijnaldum has joined Sparta Rotterdam, while defender Darryl Lachman made the move to fellow Eredivisie side PEC Zwolle, both on a free transfer. A couple of golden oldies have left the club, with Cameroons Eyong Enoh and Nigerian forward Bartholomew Ogbeche failing to have their contracts renewed.

VVV-Venlo vs Willem II Prediction and Preview

Willem II vs Venlo prediction arrives ahead of the Eredivisie 7th round matchup. For this game, I will try to provide the best betting tips and correct score predictions based on my analysis of these two teams. The game will be played on September 21st, at the Euroborg Stadium in Groningen, Netherlands. These two teams are positioned in the lower half of the table, where every point is important and crucial.

However, the Spanish striker remains at the club for the foreseeable future and with him in the side Willem II always pose a threat going forward. Keeping hold of goal machine Fran Sol was always going to prove difficult this summer after the 26-year old former Real Madrid and Villarreal striker netted 16 goals in 32 Eredivisie appearances last season. Willem II survived last season because of their ability to score goals, and even scored more in total than two of the teams that finished in the top eight, Den Haag and Heerenveen.

No money has been spent on players by VVV so far this transfer window, but Susic, van Ooijen, van Bruggen, and Christian Kum are all free transfers that have joined the club. The only money VVV have made from player sales has come from PEC Zwolle who bought Vito van Crooij for 585k and Clint Leemans for 315k. Four players have been brought in on loan, including 21-year old West Ham midfielder Martin Samuelsen, Leeds United striker Jay-Roy Grot, Dynamo Dresden forward Peniel Mlapa, and PSV goalkeeper Lars Unnerstall, who left the club on a free transfer to join the league champions and has immediately returned on loan.

Following routine victories over Wittenhorst and De Treffers, VVV then beat freshly relegated FC Twente 2-1 before securing a 1-1 draw with Bundesliga side Werder Bremen. Pre-season couldnt have gone much better for VVV, with last seasons fifteenth placed Eredivisie side remaining unbeaten in all of their five friendly matches. Last weeks 2-0 victory over Volendam concluded what was a very successful pre-season for VVV, but the big question is, can they transfer that form into the Eredivisie this weekend?

Willem II vs VVV-Venlo Prediction & Betting Tips

VVV finished one place above the relegation places last season and the transfers both in and out of the club suggest its going to be another tough season for Venlo based club. However, VVV have a decent record against Willem II and will fancy their chances of getting the season off to a winning start, especially if their hosts defend as generously as they did so often last season.
